Legalisation requirements for the UAE have changed in relation to academic certificates.
Whilst it is sufficient for the notary to certify that the document appears to be an authentic qualification, the notary's certificate now needs to appear on the back of each document. This will affect the cost of the process, as transcripts will have to be notarised and legalised separately from any degree certificate, whereas before they could be bundled together with a notary certificate on the front.
As documents for the UAE need legalising both at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with an apostille and at the UAE consulate, the costs will unfortunately increase in many cases.
